I'm Sergio, and I type 3–5 hours every day — client emails, product specs, late-night AI prompts. I tried every dictation app I could find. They all made me choose between cheap, simple, private, or cross-platform. I wanted all of those. So I built Voko: 125 MB of RAM, 322 ms to text, audio deleted immediately, same app on Mac, Windows, and Linux. If it saves you an hour a day, that's the whole point.

Voko runs on macOS (version 12 Monterey or higher), Windows 10/11, and Linux (Debian/Ubuntu via .deb or .AppImage on any modern distro).
Yes. To ensure maximum accuracy and speed in multi-language transcription, we use a secure and optimized cloud API.
No. Your privacy comes first. Audio is sent encrypted for transcription and deleted immediately after processing. We do not store your audio.
Yes. Voko emulates a virtual keyboard. Wherever you can type with your keyboard (Word, browser, Excel, WhatsApp Desktop, Slack), Voko can paste text.
The app will stop transcribing, but you won't be charged automatically. If you want to keep using it, you can subscribe from within the app.

No — Voko is a desktop app. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Mobile dictation is a different product and not on the short-term roadmap.
Yes. Voko writes wherever your cursor is, including VS Code, Cursor, and JetBrains IDEs. Technical vocabulary like "Kubernetes", "React", and common library names is handled natively. Custom vocabulary (project-specific terms) is on the roadmap.
Yes. The prompt box of any AI chat interface is just a text field. Voko types into it the same way it types into an email or a document. Dictating long prompts is one of the most common use cases our users report.
